Paper Shred Events
The Middlesex County Division of Solid Waste Management is pleased to host various paper shredding events throughout the County in 2016. The County has decided to rotate the location of the events and unfortunately, there is not an event scheduled in North Brunswick in 2016. There are many events in our neighboring communities, however.

Remember that these event is for residential documents only, a maximum of 100 pounds per resident. Please, no magazines or books!!

Motor Oil/Automotive Batteries
Used motor oil and automotive batteries are picked up curbside, by appointment, on the 2nd Wednesday of the month. Used motor oil should be in a non-metal container with a screw top lid but not in a 2 liter soda bottle. Motor oil in other containers will not be picked up. A maximum of 5 gallons per collection is permitted.

Medical Waste

Latex Paint
Latex paint should be left open to dry completely, securely tied in a trash bag and placed in your automated cart. NO LIQIUD PAINT of any kind can be collected curbside. Please bring them to a paint drop off location. Access that information by clicking on this link:

Vehicle Tires
North Brunswick DPW can pick a maximum of four tires, off the rim, from your personal vehicle at curbside by appointment. Pick up will be on the same schedule as Oil and Batteries.

Household Batteries
Due to regulatory changes, alkaline batteries will be accepted in your normal household trash and do not need to be recycled. Rechargeable batteries and button cell batteries should be recycled. These batteries can be dropped off at the Municipal Building, 710 Hermann Rd., between 8:30 am – 4:00 pm weekdays.

Old Car Disposal
Wheels for Wishes works with the Make a Wish Foundation to make the most unwanted cars.
