2023 General Election Information

The upcoming General Election will take place on Tuesday, November 7.

Registration Deadline

The deadline to apply in person for a Mail-In Ballot is November 6, 2023 by 3 p.m.

Vote by Mail

To return your Mail-In Ballot, choose one of these options:

  • Mail your ballot through the United States Postal Service by 8 p.m. on November 7, 2023 to ensure it is postmarked on or before Election Day, November 7, 2023.
    • Properly postmarked Mail-In ballots must be received by the County Board of Elections by 8 p.m. on November 13.
  • Drop your ballot in a designated Middlesex County Board of Elections’ drop box by 8 pm on Election Day, November 7, 2023.
  • Take it directly to the Board of Elections’ Office in East Brunswick by 8 pm on Election Day, November 7, 2023.

Drop boxes are maintained by the Middlesex County Board of Elections, are secure, and monitored by video surveillance. Ballots are collected from drop boxes on a regular basis.

The drop box for mail-in ballots is located on the police side of the Municipal Complex at 710 Hermann Road. Please see photo below.

Vote In-Person

Early Voting

In-person early voting locations will be open Saturday, October 28 through Sunday, Sunday 5 for the 2023 General Election. Hours will be Monday to Saturday, 10 am-8 pm and Sunday, 10 am-6 pm. No appointment is necessary.

On Election Day

Registered voters may vote in person on Election Day, November 7, 2023, by proceeding to their assigned polling location. Polling locations will be open from 6 am-8 pm.
