Distracted Driving Enforcement & Education Campaign

During the month of April, the North Brunswick Township Police Department will be cracking down on distracted drivers as part of New Jersey’s “UDrive. UText. UPay.” enforcement campaign.

Officers will be assigned to conduct proactive enforcement operations using marked and unmarked vehicles to identify motorists who engage in dangerous distracted driving behaviors, such as talking on hand-held cell phones and sending text messages while driving.

Distracted driving is dangerous, claiming 3,142 lives in 2019. NHTSA leads the national effort to save lives by preventing this dangerous behavior. Get the facts, get involved, and help us keep America’s roads safe.
