Vision Statement

The vision of the North Brunswick Municipal Alliance is to eliminate underage drinking and provide education on the dangers and misuse of alcohol.

Mission Statement

The mission for the Township of North Brunswick Municipal Alliance is to assist in eradicating the use of alcohol related to underage drinking and coordinated efforts through education and expansion of public awareness to reduce underage drinking through community events and programs.

The Municipal Alliance Committee receives grant funding which is utilized to provide substance abuse education and prevention programs to the community and all schools throughout the district.

The 2017 focus will be on community wide outreach programs with detailed program offerings to increase public awareness to reduce underage drinking. In February, the Municipal Alliance hosts a three part Women’s & Men’s Mentorship/Leadership Series for students at Linwood Middle School and North Brunswick Township High School. The program is sponsored through funding by the Governor’s Council on Alcoholism & Drug Abuse and the Committee, with support from Mayor Francis Womack III and the Township Council.

The Municipal Alliance Committee presents a free 10 week program for 3rd and 8th graders this spring, Girls on the Move & Boys on the Move, which focuses on substance abuse prevention, positive decision making and health and wellness through fun activities.
