As we gather with family, friends, and neighbors to celebrate the Fourth of July, the Mayor and Council of North Brunswick Township would like to extend our warmest wishes to all residents and guests for a happy, safe, and enjoyable holiday weekend.
We encourage everyone to have fun and take full advantage of all the festivities, but please remember:
• Handle fireworks with extreme care. Be mindful of dry areas, which can increase the risk of accidental fires.
• Pool safety is critical—please keep a close eye on children and never leave them unattended in or around water.
• And most importantly, do not drink and drive. One poor decision can lead to a lifetime of regret. Always plan ahead—use a designated driver, Lyft, Uber, or other safe alternatives.
As we honor and celebrate the independence of our great nation, we also pause to remember that some in our community are experiencing great loss. We ask that you keep the family, friends, and fellow firefighters of North Brunswick Firefighter Steven Smith in your thoughts. Firefighter Smith passed away on July 2, 2025, and his dedication and service to our township will never be forgotten.
On behalf of the entire township, we wish you a meaningful and safe Independence Day.
