This statewide initiative is designed to deliver real property tax relief for senior residents, helping them remain in their homes and communities.
A division of the Finance Office, the Tax Collector bills and collects all property taxes.
The Tax Collector is responsible for the enforcement procedures for unpaid municipal charges which includes holding an annual tax sale for unpaid municipal charges. All unpaid municipal charges are subject to Tax Sale on May 11th.
Other responsibilities of the Tax Collector’s office include maintaining records for municipal and third party liens, tax sale records, ledger for assessment of local improvements and reconciliation of all receipts. The Tax Collector reports all cash and non-cash transactions on a regular basis to the Finance Officer, Township Administrator and Governing Body.
