Building Bridges Program

The North Brunswick Police Department and the New Destiny Family Worship Center have teamed up to form “Building Bridges,” a group designed to foster better relations between police and community members.  This fantastic initiative was formed in 2016 and has since been a wonderful resource for establishing a sense of communication and understanding.  Community members use this program as an opportunity to ask questions and voice concerns to police personnel.  The group also connects Police Department personnel to minority business owners to discuss their unique concerns.

In addition to increasing communication, this program also provides unique service opportunities.  This includes providing backpacks with school supplies to children in need and a remembrance service on September 11 every year.

Anyone who would like to get involved in the Building Bridges Campaign can either contact the New Destiny Family Worship Center at (732) 246-8850 or the North Brunswick Police Department at (732) 247-0922, ext. 400.
