The North Brunswick Township Council is composed of six Council Members elected at large. Council terms of office are three years and two Council seats are up for election each year. The primary responsibilities of the Council are to serve as the legislative body of the township, approve the annual budget presented by the Mayor, approve payment of bills and serve as liaisons to several Boards and Committees.

Council President Mary Hutchinson has lived in North Brunswick for the past 20 years. She is married to David Hutchinson for 26 years and has two daughters who attended and graduated from North Brunswick schools. Her daughters are currently enrolled in college pursuing their chosen fields of study.
Council President Hutchinson has been an active member of the community, serving as a volunteer in various organizations. She was a PTO Vice-President and Secretary at Livingston Park, Linwood and North Brunswick Township High Schools. She was a Girl Scout Leader from Brownies through Cadets as well as a Girl Scout Registrar.
Council President Hutchinson has also served on the North Brunswick Township Zoning Board of Adjustment.
She is a Facilities Management Assistant at the United Nations. She is a graduate of the American College of Design.
Council President Hutchinson was appointed to the Township Council on September 6, 2022.

Councilman Bob Davis is in his eighth term, serving on the Governing Body since 2002. He has served as Council President for three years and Vice-President for one.
He was instrumental in initiating the Township Transit Village and street naming in honor of North Brunswick veterans. Davis was a member of the Planning Board for over 10 years and serves as Council Liaison to the September 11th Committee. He is also a member of the Adams Athletic and Social Club.
Public Safety, Taxes and Veterans Affairs are Councilman Davis’ top priorities.
He has been a North Brunswick resident for 40 years. He was married to the late Linda Davis for 42 years. Linda was a retired Township elementary teacher.
Councilman Davis has two sons, 2 daughters-in-law and four grandchildren. He served in the United States Army Reserves, 11th Special Forces Group (Airborne).

Councilman Carlo Socio was elected to the Township Council in 2000. He has served as Council President and Vice President, as well as Council liaison to the Planning Board and the Media Advisory Board, and is currently the council representative to the Parks and Recreation Advisory Board.
He is a project supervisor for the New Jersey Turnpike Authority and is also a member of the Middlesex County Transportation Planning Board.
Councilman Socio has volunteered as the director for Tee Ball and Rookie Softball for the North Brunswick Baseball & Softball Association, a travel soccer coach, a recreation soccer coach, a baseball and softball coach, a class parent at Judd Elementary School and an assistant coach for the North Brunswick Recreation Wrestling Program.

Councilwoman Amanda Guadagnino has lived in North Brunswick her entire life. She graduated from Judd School, Linwood and NBTHS then earned a BS from Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration in Business Management. She has operations and management experience in the golf, food service, and healthcare industries.
She is married to Patrick Guadagnino and has a daughter Samantha who is attending NBTHS, and a son Joseph who attends NBTMS. Both kids play soccer and lacrosse and they both also swim competitively year-round with RVY’s Riptide National Swim Team.
Amanda is currently a medical office manager for Behavioral Health offices. She is the Vice President of Riptide Swim Team, the Treasurer for Brookside Swim Club and spent two years on the North Brunswick Township Board of Education.
2024 marks Amanda’s 8th year on the Township Council and she will continue to make North Brunswick the greatest town to live in.

Councilman Mehta was appointed to the Township Council on April 5, 2021 and elected in November 2021 to serve an unexpired term.
He has lived in North Brunswick since 1999 and is retired after having worked for the United Postal Service for 28 years.
Councilman Mehta serves on the Municipal Alliance, Heritage Day, Traffic Safety and Human Relations committees. He is a volunteer for the Senior Center Meals on Wheels and is also a health ambassador for the Middlesex County Family Success Center.
He has been married since 1976 to Shasi Mehta and has 2 daughters.

Councilman Chedid and his family have lived in North Brunswick since 2003. He is married to Shadia Chedid and they have two children.
Councilman Chedid graduated from Rutgers University in 1988 with a Bachelor’s degree in economics and a minor in finance. He is a Realtor and a small business owner.
Councilman Chedid served on the Zoning Board of Adjustment for 12 years. He served several terms as Vice Chairman.
Councilman Chedid was appointed to the Township Council on September 30, 2024 to fill an unexpired term.
