WEATHER ALERT: NO PARKING ON ROADWAYS – Due to the Blizzard Warning in effect for our area, significant snowfall and hazardous road conditions are expected. Effective Sunday morning, no vehicles may be parked on any roadway to allow for proper snow plowing and emergency vehicle access. Vehicles left on the street will be subject to ticketing and/or towing. If your vehicles cannot be parked on your property, the following township locations are available for temporary parking during the storm event: Senior Center located on Linwood Place, Babbage Park-Glenridge Avenue, Public Library-Hermann Road, Parking lot across from the Municipal Building, Veterans Park-Roosevelt Avenue, Community Park-Rt. 130, Sabella Park-Cozzens Lane, JFK Park-Schmidt Lane. Residents are urged to remain off the roads unless absolutely necessary. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated as we work to keep our community safe.
NEW JERSEY AND NORTH BRUNSWICK STATE OF EMERGENCY EFFECTIVE 12 PM, SUNDAY, FEBRUARY 22
Due to current conditions, the North Brunswick Municipal Building will open on a delayed schedule tomorrow, Monday, February 23, at 12:00 p.m. Residents are encouraged to plan accordingly. Any additional updates will be shared through the Township website and official social media channels as they become available.

All DPRCS recreation programs and activities are cancelled Monday, February 23
Monday, February 23 recycling has been cancelled and moved to Saturday, February 28
Trash Collection/Bulk Appointments cancelled for Monday, February 23
Monday, February 23 Township Council has been CANCELLED, rescheduled to Monday, March 2

Court Rules And Procedures

It is important that individuals coming to court know what is expected of them. Court rules are not optional and must be followed.

Rules To Follow

  • No weapons are permitted in the court room or the municipal building.
  • Please remain seated quietly in the court room. Proceedings are taped and any background noise may cause interference on the tapes.
  • Food, drink or gum chewing is not permitted in the court room.
  • Newspaper reading is not permitted while court is in session.
  • Smoking is prohibited by law in all government buildings.
  • Please avoid bringing small children to court. If you must bring them, please be prepared to wait outside the court room until your case is called.
  • Please wear suitable clothing to court. Shirts and shoes are required. Hats are not permitted.
  • When your name or the case you are involved in is called, come forward to the podium to speak to the judge. Do not approach the bench at any time.

Procedural Schedule

The court is not a walk-in service. You must have a court date scheduled in advance of your appearance. You must call the court to schedule a date if you do not have one.
