The NJDOT has announced the full reconstruction and “superstructure” replacement of the Adams Lane Bridge over AMTRAK, with construction in the fall of 2022 at a date to be determined. This project has been indefinitely postponed by NJDOT.
This major transportation infrastructure project is projected to require the closure of all eastbound traffic between Route 1 and Route 130 for an estimated period of 19 months. Westbound traffic between Route 130 and Route 1 will remain open. The township continues to engage with NJDOT on the planned closure.
The NJDOT will host a “Public Information Center” on this project in the near future, and regular updates will be provided here.
Municipal Building Closure
The Municipal Building, located at 710 Hermann Road, is closed due to damage sustained from the remnants of Hurricane Ida.
