WEATHER ALERT: NO PARKING ON ROADWAYS – Due to the Blizzard Warning in effect for our area, significant snowfall and hazardous road conditions are expected. Effective Sunday morning, no vehicles may be parked on any roadway to allow for proper snow plowing and emergency vehicle access. Vehicles left on the street will be subject to ticketing and/or towing. If your vehicles cannot be parked on your property, the following township locations are available for temporary parking during the storm event: Senior Center located on Linwood Place, Babbage Park-Glenridge Avenue, Public Library-Hermann Road, Parking lot across from the Municipal Building, Veterans Park-Roosevelt Avenue, Community Park-Rt. 130, Sabella Park-Cozzens Lane, JFK Park-Schmidt Lane. Residents are urged to remain off the roads unless absolutely necessary. Your cooperation is greatly appreciated as we work to keep our community safe.

Due to current conditions, the North Brunswick Municipal Building will open on a delayed schedule tomorrow, Monday, February 23, at 12:00 p.m. Residents are encouraged to plan accordingly. Animal Control
North Brunswick Township contracts with the City of New Brunswick for Animal Control Services
Animal Licensing is done through the Municipal Clerk’s Office. You must renew your dog or cat license annually before January 31 of the licensing year. Pets can only be licensed with proof of rabies vaccine valid through November 1, of the licensing year.
A certified animal control officer is on 24-hour call to answer animal emergencies to respond to issues with:
Sick, aggressive, or abnormally acting wildlife
Aggressive domestic animals threatening public safety
Animal situations related to arrests/incapacitations
Stray dogs (restrained or at-large)
A part time certified animal control officer is on staff in the Township Monday – Friday.
Enforce local and State animal control laws and ordinances
Respond to calls regarding stray, nuisance, or feral animals
Support the Humane Law Enforcement Officer with investigations, apprehensions, and arrests related to animal welfare and cruelty laws
Issue summonses for violations and maintain accurate records
Support public safety and community education on animal control matters
