Important Safety Information for Hyundai and Kia Owners
The Police Department is conducting normal operations and residents may reach out by calling the non-emergency number at (732) 545-3200 for service or 911 for a true emergency.
Any member of the public that wishes to FILE a police report in person may come to the Police Department located at 710 Hermann Road.
Any member of the public that wishes to PICK UP a police report may come in person to the Police Department Records Bureau located at 1460 Livingston Ave Building 400 Second Floor. Also motor vehicle accident reports are available online at https://www.crashdocs.org.
To reach the Records Bureau by phone please call (732)-247-0922, Ext 415.
The public can still use the Craigslist Safe Zone, located in the lobby of police headquarters at 710 Hermann Road for transactions. It can be used 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, with no cost to anyone.

Special Needs Registry Website
Middlesex County Special Needs Registry (SNR) is a no cost, voluntary service open to any individuals with special needs who reside, work, or attend school in Middlesex County.
Special needs are defined as a physical or mental impairment that limits one or more life activities. It is only intended to provide information regarding anyone who would need extra assistance in times of emergency, or who has a mental or physical condition.
The information contained in the Special Needs Registry would be used to better assist those challenged individuals in an emergency or police encounter. Examples of special needs include, but are not limited to:
- Autism
- Mobility issues (wheelchairs, power chairs, walkers)
- Dementia or Alzheimer’s
- Cognitive Impairments
- Oxygen Dependency
- Hearing, vision, or speech deficits
- Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
- Mental Health Issues
- Dialysis Dependent
- Paralysis/ Stroke Patients
- Developmental/ Intellectual Disabilities
- Life Threatening Allergies
The Office of Emergency Management is responsible for creating North Brunswick’s Emergency Management Plan to guide its response to man-made and natural disasters.
Emergency Management coordinates the activities of North Brunswick emergency services with other municipal, county and state emergency organizations in the event of a declared emergency.

A certified animal control officer is on 24-hour call to answer animal emergencies to respond to issues with:
- Stray or feral cats and stray dogs.
- All injured birds & water fowl, which include ducks and geese.
- All bats captured within a residence MUST be submitted to the state laboratory for testing as according to the State mandate. Results of the rabies test will take a minimum of 3 working days).
- Surrendering of pets (case by case basis).
